Mission Statement

The Central Kansas Flywheels Yesteryear Museum is a rare window allowing us to glimpse into the past and marvel at the achievements of our early pioneer ancestors.
In a time when we see the family farm disappearing and old-time skills and techniques being lost, the Central Kansas Flywheels Yesteryear Museum was conceived by those men and women who were involved in agriculture and wanted to preserve the spirit of the early plains settlers. A common bond of appreciation for the past and a desire to share a fading way of life has lead to the exhibits and artifacts displayed throughout the Museum. We proudly maintain a strong preservation tradition.

Museum Displays

Through generous donations, we have obtained implements and machinery, manuals and books, items used in everyday life and documents depicting family accomplishments. Through our members and volunteers, these objects have been arranged for display for the general public. Some artifacts are in their original condition while others have been patiently restored.

Educational Opportunities

Whether public or home schooled, we encourage you to take the opportunity to visit the museum and  allow us to use hands on techniques to learn of the rich agricultural heritage of the Great Plains. We can accomodate most any number of students and can ensure a unique learning experience. All educational tours are free of charge.
